Genevieve A. Kennedy, age 96, of the Bishop Noa Home in Escanaba (Formerly of Northwoods Assisted Living Center and 1314 Michigan Avenue, Gladstone, died Wednesday morning March 14, 2007 at the Bishop Noa Home.
Genevieve was born February 22, 1911 in Gladstone the daughter of Louis and Nathalie (Brassick) Schram and she was a lifelong resident of Gladstone.
Genevieve was united in marriage to George A. Kennedy on April 29, 1939 at All Saints Church in Gladstone. Together they owned and operated Gen & Georges Grocery Store in Gladstone, later known as Pat & Jims. Genevieve operated for many years her own catering business which she operated out of her home and she also worked at the Gladstone Golf Club and did the cooking for the Escanaba Country Club. Gen was a longtime member of All Saints Church in Gladstone and was a current member of St. Anthony
