Dear Friends,
We were sorry to read that Gene passed away. We will always remember her smiling face and her ever-present camera. She was a lovely lady and it was our pleasure to know her.
Peace to her memory.

I was glad I had a chance to say good-bye to Gene before I moved away. I will always remember her kind smile and words while growing up in Gladstone and how much fun she bought to all our families’ birthday parties with her camera and wonderful sense of humor. With deepest sympathy to her family,

I worked with Gene at the Delta Reporter when I got out of college. She was such a great woman always following her heart and doing the things she knew were right. I learned a lot from her and have very fond memories of her. She loved to laugh and made us laugh along. I’m glad I got to share in her life.
My prayers go out to her family. I’m sure the angels are rejoicing to see one of their own.

I am one of the Trotter girls that lived next door to Gene. She was always SO good to us! She was just like family! My sister Jackie and I would go nightly with Gene to the park to walk Mac and Augie. She loved those dogs! When she went away, we proudly took care of her parakeet, Alfie! She was a kind, gentle and loving person. She will be missed greatly by the Trotter family. We send our love, prayers and best wishes to her grieving family, who she was so proud of.
