Gary Kidd, Sr., age 72, of Escanaba, passed away surrounded by family on Saturday, June 7, 2025 at his home. His loving wife Linda (Demeuse) Kidd is listed among surviving family. A full obituary will be forthcoming. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 17, 2025 from 11- Noon at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Escanaba. Funeral services will follow at Noon with Rev. Ben Ramthun officiating.

Gary was my third older brother, the baby of the boys. Gary enjoyed Camping, watching TV, country music, and a good joke. He was a God fearing man that attended church with his wife Linda the love of his life, and he loved the Lord.
Though I didn’t know my brother all that well, I know he enjoyed camping, country music, dogs and a good joke. He had a good laugh when telling stories from long ago.
I remember he and I went hunting together once. He spotted a deer and shouted deer and he shot it at the same time before I could even get it in my sight. I didn’t get a deer that year myself, but I was glad to have been able to spend time with Gary out in the woods that day. And that is how I’ll remember him. But the time spent sitting at his bedside knowing his time was coming soon, was very precious; I thank God for that time with him , talking and hold his hand. It was the real the first time we both knew we loved each other , brother and sister.

My Dear Brother Gary “#5”,
I enjoyed my time with you when I visited last month along with aour Siblings, and family that were able to be among us. I am very grateful to all whom made it possible for me to be there, including the DATA Bus service. I felt like I was on an assembly line… ha!
One thing that stood out to me, Bro. That misunderstandings and assumptions can drive families apart. People need to talk more, stop holding grudges, because once the years fly by. They are gone forever. It is because of your getting ready to take flight, that our Siblings are now back together. Ya know something, for a dying guy, you were funny. Same ol Gary Kidd humor, and smile… ha! You gave us your final gift of love, and you received the gift of God’s favor in return. I love you my Brother!
