2 Tributes for “Garry Derusha

Gary my friend you will be missed. It was a honor to have you as a friend and serving together all of those years. Fly High my friend…

My condolences to the Derusha family! Garry was my supervisor and friend while stationed at K.I. Sawyer 1991. I can recall many laughs with him on and off duty. I remember we woke up one Saturday morning and headed out grouse hunting at one of his relatives properties not far from the base. We got there, unloaded the car and found out neither of us brought shells for the shotguns, so a quick trip to the local hardware store and we were in the field, didn’t shoot dang thing that day but flushed many birds. We laughed and cracked jokes the entire time. What a great guy. He will be missed!
