I have great memories of Garnet (we used to call him Goose) and his family; In growing up, I was over at their house alot and played with the kids and I felt like I was a member of their family. In attending church, he was a faithful man of God.
He will be sorely missed and always be remembered. My prayers go out to Mable and the family.

I am sorry to read about the passing of Mr McGillviray. I was a classmate & friend of Beverly and Roberta Rivard and a friend of Jeanne’s and I have a lot of memories of their great love and fondness for “Goose”. I am glad to read that he continued to live a great life with lots of love and involvement with his family, friends and grandkids. I am sending my most sincere condolences to all of you.

Mabel, Kathy Jo and family, Ron and I want to express again our deep sadness for your loss. Goose was one special man and he will never be forgotten. I have countless memories of him that will warm my heart for years to come. Some of the sweetest memories I have are the times he would tease me that he used hair conditioner weekly to keep his hair looking its very best, and this from a man who wore his hair in a very short butch. Goose was a wonderful Christian man. He was a sweet, loving, playful, smart and wonderful man, husband, father, grandfather, and friend. It was a true pleasure to have known him and had him be a part of our lives. Our love to you all in your time of sorrow.
