Gail Frances Verbrigghe, age 81, of Brampton passed away peacefully on Friday, December 9, 2022 at the Lakeview Assisted Living in Gladstone surrounded by her family.
Gail was born September 28, 1941 in Escanaba, the daughter of Wilfred and Mae (Sabourin) Groleau. She graduated from the Gladstone High School in 1959. She was united in marriage to Leonard Verbrigghe on April 22, 1961 in Perkins. Gail loved spending time with her family, camping at Camp 7 when her children were younger, watching her grandchildren’s sporting events, spending time at the lake and sewing and crafts. She was also a talented seamstress.
Gail is survived by her husband of 61 years, Leonard, daughter, Pam (Mark) Caswell, son, Al (Teri) Verbrigghe, grandchildren, Jennifer (DJ) Beauchamp, Christi (Jerry) Ruether, Chad (Courtney) Verbrigghe and Melinda (Randy) Tauke, great grandchildren, Halle, Melanie and Mason Beauchamp, Stella Ruether, Jase Verbrigghe, Sawyer Tauke, Braxton Verbrigghe and Miles Tauke, siblings, Ann (John) Flinn, Jim (Debbie) Groleau and Phyllis (Frank) Gudwer and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Richard Groleau and a grandson, Joshua Verbrigghe.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 21 from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at the Skradski Funeral Home in Gladstone with a Closing Prayer at 6:00 PM.
