Gail Thomas Ignat, age 66, of Rapid River (Stonington), passed away early Tuesday morning, April 19, 2016, at Huron Valley Sinai Hospital in Commerce Township, MI.
Gail was born January 23, 1950, in Perry, OH, the son of Elmer and Margaret (Lipovich) Ignat. He was raised in Perry and was a graduate of Perry High School. Gail continued his education at Ohio State University where he received his Bachelor degree in architecture. He then enrolled at the University of Michigan where he completed his Masters degree in business administration. On July 13, 1990, Gail was united in marriage to the former Katharine Navarre, in Traverse City, MI, and together the couple made their home and began their family in Williamston, MI. Gail worked as a project manager and engineer for McNamee Porter and Seeley Engineering Firm for more than twenty five years. In 1997, Gail and family relocated to Stonington where he established
