Francis (the old man) was good to us and our family. We became attached to him and fell in love with his eccentric personality. He will be missed by all who cared for him. RIP Francis and thank you for an experience in our lives that we wouldn’t have missed for the world.
Our deepest condolences on Francis’ passing. He is likely with Al and Annie right now toasting to the “Year of the Deer”! We are very sorry we cannot be there…you all are in our thoughts and prayers…always.

John, Jimmy, Jeff and Julie,So very sorry for your loss, I know it hurts and our thoughts and prayers are with all of you. Uncle Francis was a remarkable man and even though we were miles apart, it was comforting just to know he was there. Love you, Uncle Francis! and family. God Bless….
Gudwer family – sad to hear Francis passed. I have many great memories of Francis at Byers Lake. In the winter my brother and I would jump on the Elan and ride from Steuben back to the lodge where we would shovel the snow off from the roof. The job paid twenty bucks! Fireworks on the 4th of July…great memories. My dad, Terry, always liked Francis. He was quite a man.
When Steven and I first moved to our off-road home, Francis decided we should have a snowmobile to augment the skis in case of accidents. He made it possible for us to buy an old but serviceable unit to get us out of trouble if needed. It was a true kindness.
I am so sorry to the family and friend of Francis, I enjoyed the short time I knew him. He was so sweet to my son Camble and I thank him for that. RIP Francis.
