I was honored to have been able to care for Floyd. He holds such a special place in my heart, and always will. The first day I started working at Brightstar, I instantly created a bond with him. He was the highlight of every day I was scheduled. I looked forward that precious smile, big blue eyes, walking alongside him in his wheelchair while he told me about his life, and also how hard us girls worked. When he seen me walk in his room, he would say “Hey Sweetpea!” or “There’s my Angel”. He loved calling me and the other RA his “Butterflies”. I will miss him so very much. Brightstar got a little dimmer without him there. I will forever miss his hugs, and that random little kiss on my cheek I’d get from him. Here I was one of his Angels when he was here, and now he’s one of mine.
I am so very sorry for your loss. You all will be in my thoughts and prayers. Thank you for making us some of the luckiest people ever to have had the honor of caring for him.
