Floyd D. Lambkin, age 70, passed away early Friday morning, September 27, 2013, at his home in Rapid River.
Floyd was born September 18, 1943, in Detroit, the son of Curtis and Jean (Wilkens) Lambkin. He was raised in Detroit and Perkins. Following graduation, Floyd enlisted in the United States Navy where he served from 1960 to 1966. On December 21, 1981, Floyd was united in marriage to the former Michele Thayer and together the couple made their home in Virginia before moving to Rapid River in 2004. Throughout his life, Floyd worked as a credit manager, mainly in Virginia, until his retirement in 2002. He will be deeply missed.

Floyd was preceded in death by his parents, Curtis and Jean.
Military rites for Floyd will be conducted on Saturday, October 19, 2013 at 1:00PM, at the Skradski Funeral Home in Gladstone with the Gladstone American Legion August Mattson Post #71 presiding. The Skradski Family Funeral Homes of Delta County are assisting the Lambkin family with arrangements.
