Eleanore was our friend. We are so sorry we did not get a chance to tell her how much we cared for her. Regrets are many-we meant to go and visit when we knew she was not well. We did not. There is a lesson for us in this . God reminds us every waking moment that life is now. Death waits for no one.Thank you for the pictures. We have so many great memories of both Clancy and Eleanor.

To all of Eleanor’s family. Will always remember her wonderful smile and disposition. We met her (& Clauncy) at Round Lake and spent one winter with them at the Tiki on S. Padre Island. I was lucky enough to see her in Sion Lutheran Church in Chatham this summer and can still feel her wonderfu “hug”. Her memory will last with us for a very long time.

    Dear Bonnie, Mel & Crissy:

My heartfelt sympathy to each of you and to your families. I just talked to my Mom last night and heard that Eleanor had passed away. I saw your Mom off and on over the last couple of years when I would be visiting my Mom at the “condos.” I remember fondly the days of going to your house on Friday afternoon while my Mom was there getting her hair done and also making the annual summer day-trip to Round Lake with my Mom & Dad. Your parents were the best.. and the three of you are a tribute to them.

Please know that I am keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers.

    With love,

    Bonnie, Mel, Chris,

What a shock to hear about your mom. I saw her in March and we had such a good talk. Through all the years of my growing up when we would come and visit you she was always the mom I wanted to have. I always felt I could just be a kid around her. Thanks to her I found my half-sisters and kept in touch with the family. She always had a smile and a kind word for everyone. With her passing a part of my childhood goes too.

I am so sorry for all of you. Losing a mother is so hard, especially one so special. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this terrible time. But I am sure she is up in heaven smiling down on all of us right now!

Aunt Eleanor has been an important part of my life always. Her daughter, Bonnie, and I were the first grandchildren in a large and close family. I spent many happy times at Eleanor and Clancy’s home on Montana Avenue, various camping trips, and at the Round Lake cottage. Aunt Eleanor had the ability to keep us nieces and nephews in line, while giving us the freedom to enjoy our kid adventures. She had an infectious laugh, an endless energy, and a love of life and curiosity that sent her off on many adventures of her own. I have always loved and admired her, and will sorely miss her. Don and I send our love and sympathy to Bonnie, Mel, and Chris and their families.
