Edna F. Boydston, age 99, currently residing at the Lakeview Assisted Living Home in Gladstone, passed away Wednesday, July 28, 2010 at the St. Francis Hospital in Escanaba.
Edna was born January 27, 1911 in Gladstone, the daughter of William A. and Mena (Thompson) Fulton. Edna graduated from the Gladstone High School in 1928 and remained a lifelong resident of the Gladstone area. She was employed by the Michigan Bell Telephone Company from 1930 to 1972 and retired in 1972 as a service representative with 42 years of service. In 1947 Edna was united in marriage to Paul A. Louis. Paul preceded her in death in 1963. Edna was united in marriage again in 1972, to Dr. E.G. Boydston. Dr. Boydston also preceded her in death in 1986. Edna was a longtime member of the Memorial United Methodist Church in Gladstone and was a member of the Service Guild. She was also a member of the Childs Welfare Club and the Telephone Pioneers of America. She enjoyed golf, bridge, traveling, reading, crossword puzzles and did beautiful artwork.

Edna is survived by a niece, Sharon (Ronald) Severance of Lansing, MI as well as other family and friends.

Including her two husbands, Edna was preceded in death by her parents and four sisters- Laura, Juanita, Kathleen and Eleanor.
