Bobby and I were classmates and best friends in high school and for years after until distance and family caused us to drift apart. It is with a sad heart to hear of his passing. If there is a service or memorial for him I would like to attend.

My dad was one of a kind. His sense of humor was only superseded by his sense of adventure. Our childhood memories are filled with the kinds of stories that are suitable for the big screen and only Bruce Willis could play the role of my dad. Who stopped a red heifer from charging down a five year old girl by pulling off his belt with one swift motion to beat it back? My dad. Who saved a little sparrow from a tornado by putting it on his bald head under his hat? My dad. Who would chase a mother black bear away from her cubs with a few empty beer cans and a rope? My dad. Who could spot a piece of paper in the ditch a quarter mile away from the house and make you walk down there and get it to put it in the garbage? My dad.Thank you dad. For making me know that I was the apple of your eye. For instilling in me a strong work ethic. For teaching me to make the most out of every situation. For a lifetime of memories. Until I see you again; I love you dad.

Bob was so special to me, starting way back to 1954 when we first started dating until early 1957. I will always hold dear my memories with Bob. He was the only guy I could ride in a car with, as my parents trusted him when I was only14,15, and 16. He was always loving and kind and loved his family above all. I will miss you Bob but have all my wonderful times with you to look back on. May God hold you in his loving arms and make all your hurts go away. Lovingly Lynne
