Dorothy B. York, age 69, of 5692 Juniper, AA Lane, Rapid River, passed away Thursday August 8, 2013 at the Marquette General Hospital in Marquette following a lengthy illness.

Dorothy was born January 23, 1944 in Chicago, IL the daughter of John and Emma (Siegert) Schnur. She was raised in Ann Arbor, MI and she graduated from Ann Arbor Pioneer High School, class of 1962.

    Dorothy was one of the kindest and considerate ladies I had the pleasure to know and call her my dear friend. Deepest sympathy to her loved ones. Her family was the most important thing to her. You will always be in my heart Dorothy. Love to your family.

    i am so sorry for your loss. Dorothy was a friend I met on one of several bus trips. I enjoyed visiting with her. I know she was a very brave lady who loved her family. forever hold her in your hearts. hugs and prayers.

    My sincere condolences on Dorothy’s passing. She fought a long and difficult battle and I know she was tired. We trust that she is in a better place now. She was a fine lady.
