Donna Mae Aicher Pyke of Rapid River passed away Tuesday October 25, 2016 at the Christian Park Village in Escanaba. Donna passed away peacefully to join her husband Stanley who passed March 23, 2016.
Donna was born January 13, 1929 in Barron, WI to Clarence and Mae Aicher and then on to live in Gladstone with her 8 siblings. Donna and Stanley were united in marriage on October 16, 1948 and were married for 68 years.

Donna and Stanley lived in Rapid River. Donna was always involved in her children’s activities, from 4-H leader, to Cub Scouts, Sunday school and school events.
She was the #1 fan at all her children’s sporting events.

Donna was a very active member of the Rapid River Congregational Church and the Rapid River American Legion Auxiliary.

Donna was always knitting, crocheting or sewing and donated many of her beautiful creations. She was famous for her perfectly delicious homemade buns. Donna just loved to dance and dance anytime or anywhere.

Donna enjoyed playing cards with her friends and family. Stan and Donna enjoyed camping with their friends and family. They enjoyed traveling around the country after retirement.

Donna is survived by five children, Steven (Susie), Gerald (Kathy), William (the late Liz), Barbara (Gary) and Marty (Cindy); six grandchildren, Shareef, Joshua, Aaron, Marcie, Jacob and Cody. 7 great grandchildren; her sister, Marilyn (Chuck) Gendron, brothers Larry (Sharon) Aicher, Ted (Kay) Aicher, Butch (Marilyn) Aicher, sister in law Jeanette Mineau and many nieces and nephews

She was preceded in death by her brothers, Douglas Aicher, Rex Aicher, Keith Aicher, her sister Betty Boden, daughter in law Liz Pyke.

A very special thank you to the staff at Christian Park Village for the wonderful and loving care given to Donna. Your kindness and gentle hands for our mother was constant comfort and greatly appreciated. Truely angels on earth.

The family will receive friends on Saturday November 5th from 11am to 1pm at the Skradski funeral Home in Gladstone. Funeral services will follow at 1pm with Pastor Bill Rafuse officiating.

A luncheon will follow at the Rapid River Congregational Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Rapid River Congregational Church.

The Skradski Family Funeral Homes of Delta County are assisting with arrangements.
