Donna Mae Tyynela, age 84, of Rock, passed away peacefully Saturday, June 21, 2014, at Bishop Noa Home in Escanaba.
Donna was born May 19, 1930, in Newberry, MI, the eldest child of Clarence and Florence (Hakes) Besaw. She was raised in Brampton and attended the Perkins school. On June 29, 1949, Donna was united in marriage, to the love of her life, Leslie A. Tyynela in Brookfield, IL. In September of 1958, Donna and Leslie moved to Trombly where they made their home and raised their family. Leslie preceded Donna in death on July 23, 1990. Donna enjoyed playing 500 rummy, seek-a-word and aggravation. She loved to spend time with her family and they know she is at peace and finally able to join the love of her life, Leslie, where together they are smiling down on all of them as they celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary.

10 Granddaughters: Julie (Davey) Klein, Denise (Mark) Seymour, Rebecca (Daniel) Hall, Angela (Kevin) Cerkas, Megan (Josh) Gouin, Meredith Duchaine,
Ashley (Tom) Ansay, Kirsten (Wes) Womak, Lindsey Tyynela and Kayla Tyynela
12 Great Grandsons/2 Great Granddaughters: Ethan, Devlin, Keifer, Wyatt and Myles Johnson-Klein; Evan, Makayla, Cain and Christian Hall; Abrahm and Isabel Seymour; Benjamin and Elliot Cerkas; and Jack Gouin

Naomi and I were able to have a few good visits in recent years with my Michigan family and I will always remember with love those great summers I spent as a teenager with my fishing buddy, Uncle Les, and my wonderful Aunt Donna who let me drive her car when I was 14!
