Dear Koko, Kristy and Sassy, I just learned of your dad’s passing and want you to know that I am thinking of each of you and hoping you are finding peace in your husband/father’s peace. It has been years since I have seen the girls but loved seeing Koko and Jack on my trips back home, usually in church or lastly at the Rapid Image. You took such wonderful care of Jack and kept your smile and wonderful attitude towards life throughout. Hold on to the wonderful memories.

    Koko, Christi and Jackie,

When I think back on all of our crazy family get-togethers with the all of the families, I feel so blessed to have grown up around such wonderful “relatives”. I told everyone we were related to you. That’s what I thought anyway. Jack was my favorite. I just hope my little Jack can live up to his namesake. You are all in our thoughts during this difficult time and wish we could be there. Take Care of yourselves.

    Dear Koko,

I was surprised to hear that Jack had passed. You may or may not recall, but my mother -Carol, my sister -Cathy and I were/are a part of the alzheimers support group in Escanaba. My father, David King, is also in Pinecrest and of whom, I visit every week. I remember seeing Jack there on my last visit and he had fallen asleep in a wheelchair. This disease is heartrending, but we will persevere with God’s help. My heart, thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Always know that you are not alone -physically or spiritually.

I did not have the pleasure of knowing Jack, but I know his lovely daughter, Kris. We in Houston miss her and feel so sad that your family have to go through this. However, knowing your dad was a railroad engineer was a thrill to me, Kris. I bet he and my dad are driving all the trains around heaven, what do you say? Watch out angels……God bless you all and you are in our prayers.

I went up today to see Dad ( David King) and I hurd about Jack. What a journey all of this has been, heart break and tears for all familys that are dealing with Alzheimer. It takes the person away before our very eyes. We look at the person we know so well but in there there eyes and there not there anymore. Our Family thoughts and prayers are with all of you knowing anyday we will be where you are now. I feel Jack is free not strapped to a wheel chair anymore not knowing where he is. As my Dad is not the man I remember. Jack was not the man you or your family remembers. Keep the good times in your heart, remember the true Jack not the one that Alzheimers made.
