Dear Paula,
So sorry to hear of Dave’s passing. I was aware that he was ill, but thought it was his heart. Although we have not kept in touch over the years, I often think of you two and wonder how your life has been. I see you have 3 grandchildren, I do also. The newest is just 3 weeks old. I would love to see you sometime. Feel free to call (789-0587). Once again my condolences.
God bless you and take care.

I wish to express my sympathy to the family.
I had a chance meeting with David, way back around the year 1975. I was riding my motorcycle and had a flat tire. I was stranded along U.S. 2, at the entrance of Pioneer Trail Park. It was late at night. There was little traffic on the road that night, but two motorcyclists stopped. They wore A-Head jackets. They did not know me. They asked if I needed help, and then they helped me fix my tire. It was David and another man.
The other gentleman’s name I cannot recall, but I wish I could.
They actually did most of the work for me. They asked nothing of me and went on their way after helping me. I could see they were good people, and I will never forget that night.

So sorry to see that another of the Nahma School students is gone. I rode the bus with David for years. My aunt and teacher, Olive McClinchy, always considered David one of her “good devils”.
