Darlene M. Olson, age 71, of Waupaca, WI and former Escanaba resident, passed away Thursday, September 17, 2009 at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield, WI.
Darlene was born in Escanaba, Michigan on May 12, 1938, the daughter of the late David K. and Violet Johnson. On September 14, 1957, Darlene married Floyd Olson. Darlene worked at Greenfield High School for many years prior to her retirement. She was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church, in Waupaca. Darlene volunteered at Bethany Home in Waupaca. She was a compassionate person who loved her family and friends very much.

Two sons: Steve (Stacy Schultz) Olson, Madison, WI; Kevin (Valerie) Olson, Germantown, WI
Grandchildren: Skyler Olson; Victoria and Derik Vollert
Brother: Richard (Nancy) Johnson, Kirtland, Ohio.
Also survived by many other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, Darlene was preceded in death by her brother, Donald Johnson and a sister-in-law, Cindy.

Dear Floyd, Steve and Kevin
So sorry to hear of your loss…. I am very glad we got to sit together at Janis Funeral. It was good to see you and I got a nice picture, Darlene looked so good on it.
Kevin and Steve, I will always remember our family gatherings staying up so late while our parents played cards and partied. Sorry I could not make any of the services. Wish you and your family God’s blessings.
