My deeperst Sympathy to the Peterson and Latsch Families. I will always remember Dana because of her wonderful Spirit and Excitement for life. Although I had not seen Dana in a number of years, I still have very stong memories of my visits to Escanaba and looking forward to seeing Dana and her family. I remember Dana and her family visiting our home in Chicago for my sisters wedding, and wishing that I could have a little sister like Dana.

As a little girl, I remember a blonde headed “firecracker”, and the last time I saw her, she had transformed into a beautiful young womam, so excited about life and what she would do next.
Once again, I am truly sorry for your loss, Dana was a very beautiful person.

I am truly saddened to hear about your loss of Dana. I will never forget our bus rides home from elementary school and how we always seemed to get in trouble together. She had a big heart and was always so fun to be around. My thoughts are with your entire family at this difficult time especially Spencer. May you feel comfort in believing Dana is at peace. I pray that God will be with each of you as you all grieve together.

    Lynn,

Your daughter was an amazing person. She had a way of putting a smile on your face without saying a word. I will never forget hanging out with her in Bailey’s Harbor or just seeing her down on the boat and it makes me sorry that I never found the words. Dana will always be in my thoughts and prayers.

    Peg & Lynn,

Words cannot even begin to express the heartfelt loss, the grieving, and the sadness that you both must be feeling during this most difficult time. I started to write this two days ago. I sat at my computer for 10 minutes and didn’t know what to say. I still don’t know what to say. Dana was a very special person. She lit up the room, wherever she was, with her smile. She turned heads. She was beautiful, inside and out. I will never forget her, even though she made my feet bleed when she would give me a pedicure on one of those “girls night out” nights while we were on call together. If ever there is anything I can do for you, please don’t hesitate to call me. I will always be here for both of you. I pray that Spencer will grow up with your family so that he will get to know his mom through words and pictures. He will be proud of his mom. My thoughts and prayers are will you all.

    Dear Dawn, Gerri and Family:

Words cannot express how sorry I was to hear about Dana’s death. I am truly sorry for your loss, and you all have been in my prayers every day, as Dana has.

Dana’s short time on earth was filled to the brim with life. I remember Dana as a toddler when Jeff was just a newborn. Even at that age, she was a lively, bright and fun-loving person. Her spirit was one of a kind.

Please take care of yourselves through your grief. Dana will live on in her son and in our memories.

    With much love and concern,

Dana and I became friends when I was in kindergarten and she was in first grade. I remember walking over to her home on numerous occasions to play. Dana would always feed myself and her brother lunch, she was a born nurturer. I will always remeber how kind and happy she was as a child into young adulthood. Unfortunately after High school we lost touch..(I moved across the Country.)I will never forget the memories I have of her. We had great times. I remember how kind and giving her mother was as well. I know how much she loved her family, especially Jeff. She was a little mother then with him, when most kids are trying to make their younger siblings go away she always included Jeff. I am in disbelief and saddened of the loss her family is suffering and heartbroken for her little boy! Dana was a beautiful human being inside and out and will be sadly missed. Dana: I will pray for you and feel you are in a safe place, much love: Melynda
