Dan Grenier, age 70, of Gladstone passed away on Tuesday, July 7, 2015 at his home following a lengthy illness.

Dan was born March 25, 1945 in Escanaba, the son of Lawrence and Dymphna (Heric) Grenier. He graduated from the Gladstone High School in 1963. Following high school, Dan joined the United States Navy, serving from 1963 to 1967. He was stationed aboard the USS Littlerock (CLG4). After being honorably discharged, Dan worked for the Mead Paper Company from 1967 to 2004. He was united in marriage to Ann Van Horn on August 19, 1967 at All Saints Catholic Church in Gladstone and enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Dan is survived by his wife, Ann of Gladstone, his son, Mike (Lisa) Grenier of Holland, MI, his daughter, Cathy Grenier of Eagan, MN, his brother, John (Sue) Grenier of Gladstone and his aunts, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

The family will receive friends on Friday, July 10 from 4:00 PM to 5:45 PM at the Skradski Funeral Home in Gladstone. Military Rites will be presented at 5:45 PM by the Gladstone American Legion August Mattson Post 71. Memorial services will follow at 6:00 PM at the funeral home with Rev. Fr. Jamie Ziminski officiating. A luncheon will be served in the All Saints Catholic Church fellowship hall. Dan will be laid to rest in the Fernwood Cemetery.
