Chris Stewart, age 78, a long time resident of Gladstone died on the 19th of July at St Francis Hospital as the result of a cerebral hemorrhage with her loving family at her bedside.
Chris was born in Milwaukee, WI. Nov. 1, 1929 and married Chuck Stewart November 1, 1952. Chris was employed at Badger Paint in Milwaukee, and after settling in Gladstone worked many years at the Delisle and Maulding Shoe Stores.

Survivors include her husband, daughter Mary, her husband Bill, son Craig, son Mark, a sister Terry, and step-father Jim Mendini, six grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, and a son Chuck, Jr. killed in the Vietnam War.

In season, Chris enjoyed picking strawberries, raspberries, and wild blue berries. She enjoyed many happy hours working around her flowers, working cross word puzzles, reading, and enjoying music on her large collection of CD

    We will miss Chris, she was such a nice person. That sly little smile of hers will be remembered fondly. Her and Charlie are wonderful neighbors. Two other of God’s creatures, of the four-legged variety will miss her as well.
