I remember Cherie growing up. Being first cousins and only a couple years apart we spent a lot of time together once she and her family moved to Escanaba. We had sleepovers and played a lot outdoors … playing tag and hide and go seek with her brothers Billy and Brian. So much fun. We sang to songs from the mamas and the papas, Sonny and Cher. Talking and sharing secrets We were like sisters until high school because of the age difference and living opposite ends of town we only saw each other on special occasions , weddings, funerals etc. I haven’t seen Cherie in several years… I didn’t know her last name or where she had moved. I would think of her on and off throughout the years especially once I moved to the Marquette area and often going by the houses she lived in both in Marquette and Gwinn I remember her as a sweet, loving and fun person. I didn’t realize how much I missed her until my daughter sent me her obituary today and how much I will forever miss her now.
My deepest heartfelt sympathy to her surviving family. I am truly sorry for your loss. You are all in my heart and prayers as you go thru this difficult time. God’s Peace to you all. Numbers 6:24-26
