Kathy, Dean, and Deanna Deepest sympathy for you all. Chuck was a great friend! for many years. I learned a lot about life and people thru chuck and even went on a train ride which was pretty cool. There is a lot of good memories which you have also. I got the biggest kick out of chuck in his history of stories. He always kept me up to date on how your were all doing, I could tell he loved you all so much. He impressed me with the way he cared for animals too.He would bark out and complain here and there and I just laughed and then Chuck would start laughing too, because I knew he meant well. Sadly missed is an understatement I will miss being called bub or Danny boy!
To Kathy, Dean and Deanna
Our thoughts are with you and your families. We will miss Chuck dearly.
Even though we worked in two different departments, we put in long days and years together working hard but having fun too, Chuck, “Chucky/Chuckles.” I’ll miss you dearly but will see you again some day! Lauren
Condolensces to family, Soo Liners and friends of Chuck Macki. He was 2nd shift assitant Chief Train Dispatcher for Soo Line in Stevens Point WI for many years. Later, he was promoted to trainmaster, was headquartered in Ladymsith WI. In August 1986, he stopped at C F Yard Chippewa Falls WI (Soo Line yard, terminal and division point) and was prepared to post abandonment notices along the Soo Line’s Eau Claire branch line from C F Yard to Eau Claire. He asked if I wanted to ride along in the company car, so I did. We posted notices on poles along the railroad right of way, and even in the L E Phillips Eau Claire public library. I should have tried to acquire the branch line from Soo Line, didn’t act fast enough. He will be missed. RIP Chuck Macki.
