I was so sad to learn of Catherine’s passing. So many wonderful memories of her and Harley, especially the time she made cut-out cookies for Christmas and he ate all the stars when she wasn’t looking. She always brought our family a container of her wonderful baked goods at Christmas and was explaining why there were no stars — and your dad was sitting off to the side just laughing and saying that he did in fact eat them all. She tried to be angry, but she saw him laughing and couldn’t help but laugh too. We all ended up laughing with them, and it’s one of our favorite family stories. Again, my sympathy to you and your families.

Grandma, I will forever cherish the many memories you have given me since I was a small boy. From all the camping together, your wonderful meals, your homemade pasties, to “I’ll give you one of these” (knuckle sandwich), to all the love that you shared with me. I will always remember all the card games we played over the years and how you always had to have Sadie sing for everyone at Christian Park. I will forever cherish all the memories. Love always, your grandson, Tom
