Carrie Lou Deno, age 62, of Escanaba passed away peacefully at home, with her family by her side, on Monday, September 30, 2019.

Carrie was born October 14, 1956 in Escanaba, the daughter of Lew and Marland (Pepin) Mosier. She was raised in Escanaba and graduated from Escanaba Senior High School. Carrie was united in marriage to Thomas Deno on February 7, 1975. She was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church and worked on the Soft Count Team at the Island Resort and Casino.

Carrie is survived by her husband, Tom of Escanaba, her children, Jason (Sara) Deno and David (Brittany) Deno, both of Escanaba; grandchildren, Zachary, Jayme and Maia; parents, Lew and Marland Mosier of Escanaba; brother, Troy (Kim) Mosier of Escanaba and nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 3 from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM at the Skradski Family Funeral Home in Escanaba. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 1:00 PM at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church with Fr. Rick Courier officiating. A luncheon will follow in the parish hall. Carrie will be laid to rest in the Gardens of Rest Cemetery.

Memorial contributions in Carrie’s name may be directed to the St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital.

    Carrie was an amazing and wonderful woman . She always had a positive and spunky attitude, and was always upbeat . I’ve know her since i was a kid , then had the pleasure of being her friend and hairdresser. She will be missed and always remembered❤️♥️❤️♥️. Many hugs and prayers sent to her family from us…

    Tom and family…was so very sorry to hear about Carrie. She had such a great sense of humor and I will remember fondly the days from the old Buck Inn. Her “permission slip” story will live on. My sincere condolences to you all.
