Carl David Ohlen, age 69, of Escanaba, passed away following a lengthy illness on Wednesday, May 26, 2021, at Oscar G. Johnson VA Medical Center in Iron Mountain. In accordance with Carl’s wishes, no services will be held.
Carl has provided me with so many funny and Great Memories growing up, from visiting him in the summertime and going to 6 flags, or him at the age of 45 thinking he could beat me in a sprint, or him, my dad , and my uncle Stan arguing about things of everyday life. It was always fun to be around him!!!! I’m going to miss you
My condolences and prayers to Carl’s family, we worked together for a long time at Great Fire Department. He was a great friend. RIP my friend , will missed you, but not forgotten.
Carl was my classmate, 1970 graduating class. I had no idea he passed til now. I have so many memories of this young man. Playing marbles at lunch time, taking all his boulders. We had so much fun. He was so shy, very cute , and polite. Funny how after graduation, our class just went in different directions, saw him few years back while helping his brother John. Very caring person. RIP my friend.
I just found his obituary today as I was doing a google search for him. Carl and I worked together at K I Sawyer AFB in upper Michigan. I was a G I and Carl a civilian. We had a lot of fun together. I knew he worked at Great Lakes but then lost track of him. He was a great guy. RIP buddy.
