Bruce Arthur Goodman, age 57, of Gladstone passed away on Saturday, December 15, 2019 at the UP Health System in Marquette.

Bruce was born March 2, 1962 in Evanston, Illinois the son of Wayne and Lois (Leach) Goodman. He was raised by James and Elaine “Joyce” Noel in Gladstone and graduated from the Gladstone High School in 1981. Bruce served for his country proudly in the United States Army National Guard and was honorably discharged and worked as a security guard at the Island Resort and Casino for 16 years and loved his job. He was united in marriage to Taiki Harris on June 27, 2009 in Gladstone. He was a wonderful, kind man, had a big heart and he was truly loved. He loved the outdoors, fishing, hiking, gardening, playing cards and board games, music, singing, dancing and cooking. He was great cook and could make a mean chili and pea soup.

Bruce is survived by his wife, Taiki of Gladstone ; his mother, Elaine “Joyce” Noel; his siblings, Dwayne “Toby” (Ida) Goodman of Florida, Danny Goodman of Illinois, Michael (Diane) Noel, Steven (Shelly) Noel, Joyce Kutha and Christine Johnson, all of Gladstone; mother-in-law, Mrs. Taiko Harris of Gladstone; numerous in-laws, nieces and nephews and his fat baby girl cat, Fat Poopy.

He was preceded in death by his birth parents, his father, James Noel and sister, Cheryl Johnson.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 21 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Skradski Funeral Home in Gladstone. Memorial services will be at 4:00 PM with Rev. Bill Goodman officiating. A luncheon will follow at the Gladstone American Legion. Bruce will be laid to rest in the Fernwood Cemetery in Gladstone in the spring.

    Taiki, I am so sorry to hear of your husbands passing. May I say that this was one of the best weddings I’ve ever been too? My heart goes out to you. I know how much you loved Bruce and how you fondly spoke of him. God Bless you.

    Pete and I send our sympathy to the family of Bruce Goodman. We would see Bruce with Goodman family members at our Covenant Church. May his wife and family know it is had to say goodbye, but there is no pain or suffering for Bruce. May he rest in peace.

    I’m so sad to hear of Bruce’s passing. It sounds like he loves Jesus!! That warms my heart! May God Bless Taiko at this very moment to know that he is with Jesus.

    I will miss my great friend Cruise! We had so many fun times together. Bruce was always such a quiet and nice person. I never saw him raise his voice in anger to anyone. He was a Good Man, in every sense of those words. My heart goes out to his wife, Mr. and Mrs Noel and Cobbs and Micho and the rest of the family. I hope I can be as Good a Man as Bruce. We will all see him again, rest in peace my Brother.

    May my prayers and deepest sympathies go out to all you wonderful people at your time of need!!! Bruce you will truly be missed!!! I for one will always cherish the many memories we had as kids growing up. How you took eaceme under your wing and hung out with me on the bluff and went swimming in Lake Michigan!!! You are gone way to soon and although I haven’t kept in touch as much as should have Its times like this I truly regret!!! Please rest in peace my friend and look over us from above and make sure your family is doing well they truly loved you !!! You touched everyone hearts in your special way!!! GOD BLESS!!!
