GLADSTONE, Mich. – Bonnie Lou Robinson, 74, of Gladstone, passed away peacefully Jan. 15, 2016, at Marquette General Hospital.
Bonnie was born Oct. 3, 1941, in Gladstone, the daughter of Lester and Dorothy Cole. She was raised in Gladstone and was a 1960 graduate of Gladstone High School. On Oct. 15, 1960, Bonnie was united in marriage to Everett Robinson, at First Lutheran Church in Gladstone, and together the couple made their home and raised their family in Gladstone. Bonnie was a loving and passive cornerstone of her family. She adored her grandchildren and enjoyed decorating cakes, arranging flowers, gardening, crafting and baking. She will be deeply missed.
In addition to her husband, Everett, Bonnie leaves to survive: sons, Michael (Sherry) Robinson of Faribault, Minn., Ronald (Kelly) Robinson of Gladstone, Mich.; daughters, Sherri Robinson of Bradenton, Fla., Kelly (Pete) Rasmussen of Grand Rapids, Mich.; grandchildren, Heather (Tom), Bryan, Christopher, Kasey, Nicolas, Marc, Kameron, Anna, Stefin, Cainan and Megan. Also surviving are nieces, nephews and cousins.
Bonnie’s parents, Lester and Dorothy, and her brother, Richard Cole, preceded her in death.
Bonnie’s family will receive friends on Tuesday from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. at First Lutheran Church in Gladstone. Funeral services to celebrate the life of Bonnie Lou Robinson will follow visiting hours on Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. at First Lutheran Church in Gladstone with Pastor Tom Otis officiating. Luncheon will follow in the First Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall. Bonnie will be laid to rest in the Fernwood Cemetery this spring. The Skradski Family Funeral Homes of Delta County are assisting with arrangements.
