Blanche Berglund Johnson, age94 of 2108 7th Avenue South, Escanaba, died early morning July 15, 2004 at the Christian Park Village in Escanaba where she had been residing for the past four and one half years.
Blanche was born June 16, 1909 in Benton, Illinois, the daughter of Joseph and Louise (Herron) Greenfield. Blanche was raised in the Escanaba area and has spent most of her entire life here in Escanaba. Blanche attended and graduated from the Escanaba Senior High School in 1929. On November 3, 1933, Blanche married her husband Melvin Berglund. Mel preceded Blanche in death on October 9, 1971. Blanche remarried Felix Johnson who also preceded her in death. Blanche worked as a receptionist for approximately 25 years for Dr. William and Don Lemire in Escanaba. She was a member of the Central United Methodist Church for many years and she also belonged to the United Methodist Women
