So sorry to hear of Mr. Maynard’s passing. I was so fortunate to have him as my Chemistry and Physics teacher at BR-H. He provided a very calm and welcoming classroom experience and we all enjoyed his smile and witty sense of humor.

Mr. Maynard was one of the few truly outstanding teachers our sons had in high school. He was kind and caring and knew how to impart learning. He has our undying respect and that of our sons—Peter ‘92 and Dr. Joel ‘95. Pastor Dave and Jane Christenson

So sorry to hear of Mr. Maynard’s passing. I have a greater interest in, and better understand of, the physical world around me thanks to being in his classroom. I’ve thought of him often when scrapping the ice off my windshield after having him for Driver’s Ed. The best advice I got from him was not to try to “make out” with your girl while you’re driving. “You’re not going to do a good job of driving and you’re not going to do a good job with the girl. Drive somewhere and park and then pay attention to the girl.” Thanks Bernie. My Condolences.

So sorry to hear of Mr. Maynard’s passing. I am truly blessed that I had him for a teacher. Every memory I have of him was happy – He encouraged me to learn something because I was going to need it in the future, he was gentle and kind, and he always brought a smile to my face. I remember walking into his room to ask him a question on his break … can I bother you a second? He replied, yes as soon as you help me with this crossword puzzle answer on the green newspaper sheet. I know I gave him gray hairs in drivers ed with my lead foot. He told me that I had a future of speeding tickets. Once again, he was right – I have had a couple. He may be gone, be this special man will never be forgotten. My thoughts and prayers are with the Maynard family during this difficult time.
