Arnold Gagnon Jr., age 76, passed away Saturday morning, April 17, 2021, at his home in Gladstone with his family by his side.

Arnie was born June 11,1944, in Escanaba, the son of Arnold and Eleanor (Anderson) Gagnon Sr. He was raised in Gladstone and was a graduate of Gladstone High School. On November 28, 1973, Arnie was united in marriage to the former Janet Spevacek and together the couple made their home and raised their family in Gladstone. Arnie was employed at U.P. Concrete and Pipe for 45 years and he enjoyed tinkering in the garage, motorcycles, classic cars and going to camp.

Arnie is survived by:
Sons: Cory (Angela) and Jamie Gagnon
Grandchildren: Kayton, Laci, Skylar, and Breanna
Brother: Dave (Nancy) Gagnon
Sister: Marlene Johnson
Special Friend: Pam Wilson

In addition to his loving wife Janet, Arnie was preceded in death by his parents, Arnold and Eleanor and his sisters, Sally Erickson and Eleanor Messersmith

Graveside services for Arnie will be held on Saturday, May 1, 2021, at 1:00PM, at the Fernwood Cemetery in Gladstone, with Deacon Mike LeBeau officiating. The Skradski Family Funeral Homes of Delta County are assisting with arrangements.

    We all have such great memories growing up next door to each other, spent a lot of time having fun.
    I spent a lot time with your family and they always treated me as one of there own. Our parents
    spent many days together and always had there share of fun!!

    Arnie was a year behind me on high school.
    As kids, we would always play a pick up game of football at stink hill.
    He was such a big kid, we were all afraid to tackle him when he had the ball. So we would all hope he would be on our side!
    He was a good guy and my sympathies to his family.

    Cory & Family: Arnie was such a special guy. He was one person who could brighten anyone’s day. He will be greatly missed. Thinking of you all during this difficult time.

    So sad to hear of my cousin Bay-Arnold’s passing. Our thoughts are with the family at this difficult time.

    Arnie and I were classmates. We had such a good time at our last class reunion and I really enjoyed reminiscing with him. I am sending all of his family my heartfelt condolences.
