Arebelle “Belle” T. Gamache, age 92, of Gladstone passed away at home on Thursday, November 11, 2021.

Belle was born on November 11, 1929 in Escanaba, the daughter of George and Mary (LeDuc) Curran. She was united in marriage to Louis Gamache in Palm Springs, Florida in October of 1955. In 1970, Belle moved to Gladstone with her husband after his retirement from the US Air Force. In her early years, she worked for her brother at Tim and Sally’s Restaurant in Escanaba. She also worked for various retail stores in Escanaba for many years until retiring as a sales clerk at the Fashion Bug.

Belle enjoyed spending time with her nieces and nephews. They were her everything. She also enjoyed walking her pets, visiting with the children in the neighborhood, going to the casino, playing cards, crossword puzzles raising her Dahlia’s and reading.

Belle is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by his husband, Louis, her parents, an infant brother and siblings, Timothy, Wallace, John, Robert, Dorothy Timm and Shirley Burris.

It was Belle’s wishes to remain at home, no hospice, no meds, no hospital or outside care. Her wish was fulfilled when her nieces, Sally Pelszynski and Mary Timm came from Illinois to care for her around the clock until her passing.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.

The Gamache family is being assisted by the Skradski Funeral Home in Gladstone.
