Andrea Mae (Mills) Green, age 79, formerly of Trenary, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family, early Saturday morning, July 7th at Christian Park Health Care Center in Escanaba, MI.

Andrea, the daughter of Warren & Juanita Mills, was born on June 12, 1939 in Trenary, Michigan. After graduating from Trenary High School in 1957, she moved to Milwaukee where she met and married Ray Green. Shortly thereafter, they moved to South Carolina where they resided for the next 16 years. They had one daughter.

Andrea moved back to her hometown of Trenary in 1979 and established Ann’s Beauty Salon. She went on to continue her education, first at Bay de Noc Community College and then at Northern Michigan University in Marquette. She took every art class offered at both schools as well as most of the Psychology classes. She held many different jobs in her lifetime and one that she enjoyed the most was working with those who had mental disabilities. She stayed in Trenary until 2009 when she moved to Escanaba, MI.

Andrea is survived by her daughter, Lori (Clem) Geiger of Gladstone and their two daughters, Shanna (Austin) and Jordan (Kyle) Archer of Leesburg, VA. She is also survived by two brothers, Gary Mills (David Eldridge) of Livonia Michigan and Ken (Bonnie) Mills of Trenary as well as several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Allen Mills.

A memorial will be held August 18th at the Trenary United Methodist Church for family and friends. Visitation will be 11:30 – 12:30 with a short service to follow. In lieu of flowers, bring a dish to pass or provide a small donation for the use of the church.
