Escanaba, MI
Amy Sue (Villeneuve) Vallier, Age 61, of Escanaba, passed away peacefully in her home on Friday February 7th, 2025.
Amy was born on May 23rd,1963 in Escanaba, MI the daughter of Dale and Sharon (Rose) Villeneuve.
Amy Graduated from Escanaba Senior High School in 1981 where she was in the Junior Achievement Club.
On June 27th, 1981 she was married to the love of her life, Scott, at St. Thomas Church. They went on to have two sons Timothy and Joel.
In addition to raising two rambunctious sons and a husband, she worked numerous jobs to help provide for her family including being a house cleaner for Phil and Lee’s, housekeeper for the Super 8, Caretaker for the elderly with Community Action and cook at both the Gladstone High School and Bishop Noa Home. She worked tirelessly to make sure a great life was provided for her family.
Amy was a deeply caring and sometimes ferocious sports mom and grandmother who was known for years after both of her children were graduated for her legendary “Vallier Sandwiches”, “Magic Cookie Bars” and her feisty mama lion temperament. She took pride in caring for everyone around her and always making sure everything was better for them when she was around.
In her later years she found a spark for creating beautiful arts, crafts and collecting valuable old glass and knickknacks and growing succulents. Two of her greatest joys were thrifting and antiquing with her sister Brenda (Bren) and crafting with her grandsons Liam and Graysen in her craft room. More than anything, she was very excited to craft with her Grandchildren in her new crafting room she was setting up in her new house. She created many beautiful pieces for Family and Friends and had a creativity that was amazing.
The impact she had on those around her will be remembered forever with love and warm memories.
Amy is survived by her 2 Sons: Tim (Amber) Vallier, Joel Vallier, 2 Grandsons: Liam and Graysen Vallier, Sister: Brenda (Ray) King, Brother: Joel (Marci) Villeneuve, Brother-in-law: Cliff (Deborah) Vallier, Sister-in-law: Allison (Barry Gokee) Vallier, Mother-in-Law: Maxine Vallier and several Cousins, Nieces, and Nephews who affectionately knew her as “Auntie Amy”.
In addition to her parents, Amy was preceded in death by her Husband Scott, Father-In-Law Jerry, and Brother-In-Law Paul.
Family will receive friends on Saturday, February 15, 2025 from 1:00 until 4:00 PM at the Skradski Funeral Home in Gladstone. Prayer service will follow at 4:00 PM with Rev. Fr. Amy
You will be in our hearts forever! You had such a big and loving heart, a loyal friend, and devoted mother and wife. We will never forget the way you took care of Scott when he became ill. You showed total devotion and were attentive, patient and loving with him until his journey on earth was done. We had many good times and laughs through the years, having fun at the casino together, our mutual love of God, Family and Cats 🙂 I will miss hanging out together and our talks, no matter what you had going on you always asked how I was doing first, it told me you were that rare person who always put others first. Cliff and I will forever miss you Sister, but I know from the word of God we will see each other again.
