Amy Jo Deneau, 35, of 515 Superior Avenue, Gladstone, passed away unexpectedly Monday morning October 5, 2009 at the Marquette General Hospital where she had been a patient since last Wednesday.
Amy Jo was born May 20, 1974 in Escanaba the daughter of Richard and Mary (Starrine) Deneau. Amy Jo was raised in Gladstone and she attended and graduated from the Learning Center in Escanaba in 2000.
Amy Jo enjoyed playing with her toys and scooting around. She loved being out in the community and everyone enjoyed her presence. She always looked forward to her outings with Pathways. She treasured spending time with her family and friends. Amy touched the hearts of everyone she met. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

Dick and Mary, we are just so shocked and sorry to hear about sweet Amy. Just want to let you know that you are all in our thoughts and prayers. Here is a poem I found that I thought might be of some comfort for you.

I had the oppurtunity to mentor Amy at the Learning Center as part of a student/job shadowing program through the ISD. It was a joy to have met and spend time with Amy; her smile would light up the room. My thoughts and prayers to the family
