Amelia M. Neff, age 94, of West Highland Apartments, (formerly of Gladstone) passed away Thursday August 23, 2012 at the Christian Park Village in Escanaba.
Amelia was born March 21, 1918 in Gladstone, MI the daughter of Matt and Mary (Lucick) Lucick. She was raised in Gladstone where she graduated from Gladstone Public Schools. Amelia went on receive her Cosmetology Degree. She later was certified as an instructor and she taught at the Escanaba Academy in Escanaba.
Amelia was united in marriage to Harold Neff on June 28, 1940 and they made their residence in Gladstone where they raised their son David.

I met Amelia through her son, David, when I was in high school. David was going through a rough period (health), and I kept him company on many school nights.
Amelia was a wonderful person, so full of life and kindness. We managed to keep in touch through the years, and she always enjoyed seeing and hearing about my children. I know she is in heaven. God bless her.
