Agnes (Hanis) Dedic, 95, of 4914 Beaver Lane, Rock, died at the Pinecrest Medical Care Facility on Wednesday afternoon, February 11, 2004.
She was born in Chernesville, Wisconsin on July 1, 1908 and moved to Upper Michigan with her parents, George and Stella Hanis, in 1914 when they settled on a farm at Beaver. She lived on that farm most of her life except for a short time spent with her husband, Charles P. Dedic, at Drywood, Wisconsin.
Agnes was a homemaker who enjoyed crocheting, embroidery, and crossword puzzles. She was also an avid reader who maintained a large personal library. She spent a good part of her life babysitting her grandchildren while their parents worked.
She is survived by: 1 Son: Charles E. Dedic (and daughter-in-law, Annette); 6 Grandchildren: Charles C. of Perkins, MI, Deanna (Dave) Bartelmy of Two Rivers, WI, Lisa (James) Clack of Hoschton, GA, Kimberly (Daniel) Long of Loganville, GA, Edward (Jill) Dedic of Hudsonville, MI, Steven (Natasha) Dedic of Perkins, MI; 4 Great Grandchildren: Heather and Brandon Hauschultz; Dustin Reznichek of Two Rivers, WI, Tanner Clack of Hoschton, GA; 1 Great Great Grandchild: Ethan Jacquart of Two Rivers, WI.
Agnes was preceded in death by her husband, Charles P. Dedic (1975); 1 Brother, George J. Hanis; 2 Sisters: Marie Hanis and Beatrice Bigger.
Cremation will be facilitated by the Skradski Funeral Home and a visitation in her memory will be held for family and friends at the home of her son at 4914 Beaver Lane, Rock, on Saturday March 20, 2004 from 2:00PM to 6:00PM.
