He had a big heart, was a friend to all, enjoyed helping others and spending time with his best friend, Rich Carlson. He worked in construction all his life and loved spending time in his garage, tinkering and fixing things for others. He also enjoyed hunting when he was younger.
Hutch is survived by his wife, Donna Hutchinson of Gladstone, daughters, Teri (Raymond) Pelcher of Mt. Pleasant, MI, Carol (David) Kotajarvi of Wisconsin Dells, WI and Jodi (Brad) Salmi of Lakeville, MN; ten grandchildren, one great grandson, one brother, five sisters and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a granddaughter, two brothers and a sister.

Hutch was a wonderful friend and neighbor of ours over 25 years. He was always ready to help in anyway he could. He spent time with Rod enjoying 4 wheeling down at the Ford River, target practices, or shooting darts in the garaged or looking for mushrooms. And as a Viet Nam veteran he was proud to have served his Country. We were blessed to have known him.
Our condolences to his family.

Hutch – a brother-in-law and friend. Always enjoyed our time with him. He enjoyed telling various stories of the mischief he caused chuckling as if it just happened. He loved his family and worked very hard throughout his life to support them. I appreciate him and Donna for all the help they have given us over the years not asking for anything in return. We will miss him. We pray God will be with Donna and comfort her in the weeks and years to come. Bernie & Sharon McCormick

Uncle Hutch will be remembered as a kind, happy, humble man who loved his family. He always seemed to have a smile on his face and his laughter was contagious. I’m thankful to have an uncle who proudly served his country and willingly helped so many people. He will be missed by family and friends, including those of us who didn’t have the privilege of seeing him often. Our thoughts and prayers are with Aunt Donna, Teri, Carol, Jodi, their families, and all who loved this dear man.
