Henry R. Kleiman, age 73, of Bark River, passed away on Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at OSF St. Francis Hospital in Escanaba.
Henry was born January 5, 1948, in Escanaba, the son of Paul and Rose (Frisque) Kleiman. Henry was raised and graduated from Powers SpauldingHigh School. Henry worked for his parents farm before starting a career at New Page. He worked for many years at New Page, and met his wife Shirley there as well. They were united in marriage on December 15, 1988, and together they spent 33 years making memories.
Henry loved the outdoors. He liked to four wheel, go shooting, and camping. He also was an avid motorcyclist. Shirley and Henry took many motorcycle trips near and far. Henry enjoyed reading, and also watching his western movies. He especially cherished his time with his family. He loved being with his children and grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by so many.
Henry was a member of the Goldwing Road Riders Chapter M, U.P. Chiefs MotorCycle Club, and also the National Rifle Association. He also enjoyed his time vacationing with his wife. Henry was a devoted parishioner of Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Bark River.
Henry is survived by his wife Shirley, sister-in-law Edith Kleiman, siblings Rose Ann (Donald) Webber, Peter (Diane) Kleiman, Edward (Mary) Kleiman, Tony (Debbie) Kleiman, Marie Hanson, Julia (Randy) Beauchamp, Gerald (Dawn) Kleiman, Louis Kleiman, and Tim (Mindy Jo) Kleiman, son Terry Kleiman, daughter Shayla (Michael) Seymour, grandchildren Kaily (Dylan) Fox, Andrew Seymour, Nathan Seymour, Scott Seymour, and Samantha Seymour, as well as 3 great-grandchildren. Henry is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Henry is preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Rose, sister Lorraine (Bill) Birnback, and brother Paul Kleiman.
Family will receive friends on Thursday, September 2, 2021 at Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Bark River from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM Eastern time. Mass of Christian burial will follow visitation at 6:00 PM with Rev. Fr. Darryl Pepin officiating. Henry will be laid to rest in Gardens of Rest Cemetery.
