Jesus said, “I know my own, and my own know me.” David showed this to everyone he met. Our neighbor, our friend, our brother in Christ, David was a living example to us all. May be rest in peace and ride in glory!

I am so sad to hear the news of Pastor Hagen’s passing. I had the privilege of having Dave as my childhood pastor. I was in his his confirmation class, and later on, he performed my wedding ceremony. I have only wonderful memories of the Hagen family. Sending lots of love, prayers and sympathy to the entire family!!!

Mary, I am so sorry to hear this. I held Dave in high respect as our pastor and as a Christian, and I am sad to know he is not with us anymore. I will keep you and your children in my prayers. I have a memory of him that for me defines the virtue of humility – I was wiping down a table after a potluck, when Dave came to tell me I was wanted upstairs (they were taking a picture of the church board). He then turned up the sleeves of his dress shirt and took my rag and finished wiping down the table. I also remember well his beautiful singing voice. And the two of you helped our family a couple of times when we had a need, besides Dave baptizing all four of our children. My love to you and yours.

The Hagen family, we here at Bay Ambulance are so very sorry to hear of your loss. Although we’ve never met Dave in person, we’ve talked to him many times on the phone over the last few years. Our thoughts and prayers are with your family at this time of sorrow.

Dear Mary, we are grateful to have known You and David, since arriving to this country and lmkthe Upper Peninsula. David’s soft-spokeness and unwavering love to our Savior and Lord Jesus Christ is apparent in our, as well, as in the community where we live. We are confident that God’s Grace and Love will continue to uphold You and Yours in these painful days.

Mary I’m so sorry to hear of Dave’s passing. He was a wonderful loving Christian man. He truly lived his faith and passed it on to everyone he met. You and Dave were always inspiring to talk to and anyone could see how much you meant to each other. Dave will truly be missed by many. God bless you Mary.

Mary and family, my prayers and thoughts are with you all as you experience this extremely emotional time in your lives. May you all feel the comfort and peace that only God can bring to His children.

Our love and prayers to Mary, Kristoffer, Apryl, Ben and all the family. We are stunned to hear of Dave’s passing, but celebrate not only his life well-lived, but also his faith in Jesus that gives us great expectations for an eternal reunion. We regret that time and distance have contributed to our losing contact in recent years, but there was a time when Dave was my closest and most beloved friend — through confirmation, church youth group, high school, college and grad school. His impact on my life is profound, and his memory will be treasured by scores and scores of friends, parishioners and family. May Christ surround you all as you gather to worship Dave’s Lord, giving thanks for this choice servant of God. We will be with you in the Spirit over these many miles.

I remember pastor Hagen and his calming thoughtful voice well. It was a very special day when he baptized me. Hagen family, it goes without saying, have comfort knowing his memory will live on in the countless people that he impacted. God grant you strength now and in the years to come.

Dear Mary, My sincere condolences to you and your family in the passing of your husband. May God give you the peace that passes all understanding during this difficult time.
