Zachary Dennis Lipinski, age 30, of Gladstone passed away on Friday, March 5, 2021 at St. Francis Hospital in Escanaba following a battle with cancer.
Zachary was born on May 21, 1990 in Escanaba, the son of Jeffery and Susan (Meyer) Lipinski. He graduated from the Gladstone High School and Bay college. He had a great sense of humor, a kind heart, strong work ethic, and was as tough as they come. He worked for Elmer’s County Market for 14 years, beginning at the age of 16. He also worked for WP Beverages (Pepsi cola) for 10 years and was fortunate enough to work with his father and brothers for many of those years. He was also lucky enough to meet the love of his life (Laena) at one of those jobs. He enjoyed hunting, softball, driving around in his truck, and going out to camp. Last but not least, Zach deeply loved his two cats Pearl and Sushi.
Zachary is survived by his parents; his brother, Lance of Madison, WI, twin brother, Jack (Holly) of Rapid River; nephew, AJ, nieces, Sophie and Sadie; maternal grandmother, Marlene Meyer of Farwell, MI; aunts, Shari (Todd) Hutchins of Sanford, MI and Vicky (Kevin) McPhail of Freeport, FL; uncles, Ken (Connie) Meyer of Interlochen, MI, and Tony (Lisa) Meyer of Irons, MI, six cousins and his fiance’, Laena Iishiba.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Dennis Meyer and paternal grandparents, Al and Kathy Lipinski
A Private Mass of Christian Burial will be held at All Saints Catholic Church in Gladstone.
Zachary will be laid to rest in the Fernwood Cemetery.

Zach was one of a kind! I worked with him at Elmer’s and I am so sad about his passing away but so happy to have known him. He always had that charming grin on his face, he could make you laugh even if you weren’t in that great of a mood, he was always so helpful and willingly would help you do whatever you needed. His work ethic was truly amazing as he was always hustling and really wanted to do a great job. When I retired we had a sweet chat about my ability to spend more time with my family, and he said that that is all that really matters. How right you were Zach. Sue and Jeff, I know your hearts are broken but know you raised one Hell of a good man that so very many will miss but also keep his memory and wonderful spirit alive. My sincere condolences to Laena, all of the Lipinski family and to everyone that knew Zach. Rest easy, my friend. ❤️

We are so sorry for the loss of Zach. He and Jack shared the same birthdate as our Gabe (and his twin, Caleb). We know all too well, the pain of losing a son. Even though it was a very different circumstance, we feel the pain. We are praying for all of you as you navigate through your grief. Hold tight to your memories. Julie and Bob Aschbacher

Iam good friends with Zach’ parents & through them I met Zach he was a young ambitious teenager & though the years I would see him at Elmers, Super One, Kmart ect… always working hauling Pepsi usually working his twin brother Jack & his dad as well it was great to see a family working side by side. From his work ethic you can tell he had great influences in his short lived life, but when he would see you he always made time to stop & say hi with a warm smile always a gentlemen, truly an inspiration! Forever missed but never forgotten…R.I.P. my friend… 🙁

The world lost a good one with the passing of Zach. I know teachers aren’t supposed to have “favorites”, but Zach and Jack were two of mine. I enjoyed my visits with Zach while he was working in local stores. He will be missed. Prayers to the Lipinski family, especially for Zach’s twin and best friend Jack.

I got to know you through work at good ol’ Woodman’s back when you lived in Madison for short time. You and I shredded some hills on our longboards and man was it fun! We shared laughs and..Ohhh **it! Moments when we saw traffic coming our way. But we knew that was part of the thrill. It was nothing but memorable that even though we only hung out that one time. It was worth it! We shared something in common and we simply just had a fun time! I’ll cherish that memory forever. Rest in Peace my Friend.
My thoughts and Prayers to the family and friends. Rest in Peace My Friend.

So sad to hear about Zach passing. He was such a good person & had a great work ethic. I remember seeing the twins helping dad work at WalMart from the time they were little, & have seen them grow up throughout the years. May God be with you all, & may Zach rest in peace.
