So sorry for the loss of your mom. Everywhere we would see her she was always happy, smiling, and would talk about her kids & grandkids. I will always remember her talking with me and understanding how we could relate with each other over having both big families. God bless her family and prayers for all.

Stephanie, you had a heart of gold and accepted anyone and everyone. You had a beautiful soul that touched several lives, including your amazing family and extended family. Today is a profoundly sad day as family and friends are saying our final goodbyes to my dear friend, Stephanie.
I’m using this photo of her because it literally depicts the Stephanie I knew and loved. Her life revolved around her children and grandchildren. There was nothing she wouldn’t do for them and was happiest when she was surrounded by them. Our conversations over the years consisted of just a few topics. Kids, grandbabies, collies, all dogs, horses, and me moving back to MI so we could enjoy all of it together.
Though I don’t believe in the Christian story of God and Jesus, I am deeply spiritual and believe in our energies all being connected. I KNOW her and I will be sharing moments on Earth once again when the time is right and we both begin another journey through this world. I only hope that the next time I will spend much more time with her.
I will miss her phone calls out of the blue to make sure I’m doing okay. I will miss our talks about puppies and collies and her teaching me how to ride a horse. I will miss her optimism. I will miss our gossip sessions. Mostly, I will miss the comfort of knowing she’ll always be there waiting for me to move back to MI so we could do all the things we talked about doing once I was there
See you later Stephanie. I’ll miss you for now.

I stayed with Stephanie when I was expecting my first baby. Her kindness and her easy approach to mothering put me at ease and helped me get ready to mother my own child. I will be forever grateful for that. I am so sorry that she was not able to stay earthside for longer. When my mother died, someone shared this poem with me. May it bring healing to all of her children.
“Your Mother is always with you. She’s the whisper of the leaves as you walk down the street. She’s the smell of certain foods you remember, flowers you pick, the fragrance of life itself. She’s the cool hand on your brow when you’re not feeling well. She’s your breath in the air on a cold winter’s day. She is the sound of the rain that lulls you to sleep, the colors of a rainbow, she is Christmas morning. Your mother lives inside your laughter. She’s the place you came from, your first home, and she’s the map you follow with every step you take. She’s your first love, your first friend, even your first enemy. But nothing on earth can separate you, not time, not space…not even death”
