Mark Russell Lippold, age 69, of Gladstone, entered into heaven peacefully on Sunday, December 6, 2020, at Lakeview Assisted Living in Gladstone, with his loving daughter by his side.
Mark was born November 27, 1951, in Escanaba, the son of Melvin and Ruth (Ross) Lippold. He was raised on the family farm in Stonington, and was a 1970 graduate of Rapid River High School. On December 19, 1972 Mark was united in marriage to his loving wife Carol Lippold (Sarasin). He was in the National Guard before working at New Page Paper Mill for 38 years before retiring as an operator. He loved the woods whether driving his truck, deer or bird hunting, or hiking the two tracks and trails around Rapid River. He loved to spoil his grandsons with surprises he picked up along his adventures. He will be deeply missed by so many especially his daughter Kristie.
Mark is survived by his wife Carol Lippold of Gladstone, daughter Kristie Gilbert of Escanaba, grandsons Bailey and Dylan Gilbert, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
