Fred W. Britton, age 78, of Rock, passed away at his home with his loving family by his side on Monday, Dec. 9, 2019.
Fred was born on December 20, 1941, in Greenville, PA, the son of Edward Lee and Anna Mae (Cecilyia) Britton. He was raised in Greenville and later moved to Rock, where he resided for 34 years with his loving wife, Linda (Kossow) Britton. They were united in marriage in 1965, and have shared 53 years of memories. Fred was an avid fisherman, and enjoyed fishing in a lot of places, especially the Escanaba River. Fred was a great husband, father, and grandfather and he will be deeply missed by so many.
Along with his loving wife, Linda, Fred is survived by sons Timothy (Dee) Britton, Thomas Britton, and Ted (Fonda) Britton, daughter Bonnie Hedberg, 2 brothers, and 2 sisters. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 11 grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Fred was preceded in death by his parents, and 8 brothers and sisters.
The Skradski Family Funeral Homes of Delta County are assisting the Britton family.
