Laura Lee (Hulbert) Silvieus passed on to her Heavenly home Monday morning December
9th in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. Laura was born April 28th, 1933 in Jefferson, Ohio to
Reed and Zada Hulbert.

The family moved to Ashtabula and Laura attended Buckeye schools, graduating from
Edgewood in 1951. She married her childhood sweetheart, Richard Silvieus that same year.
They both attended the Ohio State University, Laura taking home economic classes. Rich
and Laura both worked for Wayside Gardens and lived in Mentor, Madison, Perry, and
Ashtabula Ohio. Later, Laura worked as office manager for Landscape Industries, which
was owned by Richard. Laura also worked as an office manager for Dr. Malinowski in
Ashtabula.

Laura was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 65 years Richard, and her
daughter Linda. Laura is lovingly remembered by her three children David (Mary) Silvieus of
Gladstone, Michigan, Jeffrey (Susan) Silvieus of Clinton Corners, New York, Joan Silvieus
of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, her brother Jim (Betty) Hulbert, sisters Louella (Phil)
Arvidson and Claire (Jim) Facente.

Laura had six grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Rich and Laura were faithful
attenders at Eagleville Bible Church, Fellowship Bible Church of Ashtabula, OH, and Grace
Church in Gladstone, Michigan.

Laura had many hobbies and skills. She excelled at flower arranging, cake baking for
special occasions and her most beautiful art work was designing and creating stained glass
pieces.

Laura put most of her free time into her family at home and extended family. She was a
wonderful mom and homemaker. Laura was a blessing to all who knew her! Her most
important decision came in 1981 when she trusted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior,
who has given her eternal life. There will be memorial-celebration of life service for her on
July 5th in Ashtabula Ohio, place to be determined. The Skradski Family Funeral Homes of Delta County are assisting the Silvieus family.
