Dorothy Jean Sovey-Wilson, age 94, of Escanaba, passed away Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at the Christian Park Village in Escanaba.
Dorothy was born May 6, 1923, in Marquette, MI, the daughter of John and Laura (Cowling) Wallenslager. Dorothy loved the outdoors, bird watching, horses,gardening and spoiling her Grandchildren and great grandchildren. Growing up in Marquette she enjoyed swimming in Lake Superior and trips to AuTrain.
Dorothy is survived by:
Daughter: Linda (Bill) Heitman of Escanaba, MI
Brother: James (Pat) Wallenslager of Marquette, MI
4 Grandchildren Christopher (Kristen) Sinnaeve, James (Dawn) Sinnaeve, Keif Neely, Amber Neely
And 5 Great Grandchildren Austen, Cayla, Serina, Kaden, Ainsley
In addition to her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by:
1st Husband: Milton Neely
2nd Husband: Charles Wilson
3rd Husband: Alex Sovey
2 Sons: Darryl and Robert Neely
Sister, Betty and Brother John
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. The Skradski Family Funeral Homes of Delta County are assisting the Sovey family.
