Karmen Colleen Livingston Paulus, 53, passed into the arms of her Lord at her home in Lake Elsinore, CA of natural causes on October 22, 2016. Her husband Jack, the love of her life, survives Karmen, they had 33 happy years together, her son David (Sarah) Paulus, Marietta, CA, granddaughter, Madison “Maddie”, daughter, Renee Denise Paulus, Lake Elsinore, CA. Karmen is also survived by her mother, Wyoma “Honey” Vandecaveye and stepfather, Julian Vandecaveye of Perkins, MI, three brothers, Michael Vandecaveye, Gladstone, MI, Robert (Carmen) Livingston, Gwinn, MI and Garth (Julie) Livingston of Pocahontas, TN. Many nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. Her father, Duncan Robert Livingston on August 23, 2013, preceded her in death.

Karmen was born in Petoskey, MI on June 24, 1963. She attended Rock High School in Rock, MI and graduated from High School in Garden Grove, CA. Karmen had a great love of the Bible and had a Bachelors Degree in Christian Counseling from Legacy International Christian Bible Institute. Karmen was an associate Pastor at the Legacy International Christian Center in Temecula, CA. She loved teaching young children an youth how to lead a Christian Life.

Memorial services will be held in remembrance of Karmen at New Life Church at 2005 S. 8th Street, Escanaba, MI on Friday June 23, 2017 at 2:00 pm E.S.T. Lunch will be served following the service.

    She could meet and beat any challenge! She was like a daughter to me and I will miss her every day for the rest of my life.

    Karmen, you are not gone, you live in the hearts of all the people who lives you have touched. We will miss you but never forget you. We will keep you close , remember your wisdom, your compassion and kindness you shared. We will never forget TO: “MAKE OUR DREAMS BIGGER THAN THE NIGHT”
