Gladstone, MINicholas J. “Nick” Broeders, 78, of Gladstone, passed away unexpectedly Monday evening January 16, 2017 at home of an apparent heart attack.
Nick was born July 12, 1938 in Iron Mountain, MI the son of Gerard and Gertrude (Tauscher) Broeders. He was raised in Foster City until his family moved to Gladstone. Nick had worked as a woodsman and also on the Iron Ore Boats for during his life. His hobbies included gardening, camping, fishing and hunting.

In addition to his parents, his brothers, Gerard, Leroy, Leo, sisters, Johanna Lucas and Margaret Anderson preceded Nick in death.
Nick’s family will receive friends on Friday January 20, 2017 from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at the Skradski Family Funeral Home in Gladstone. Funeral services celebrating the life of Nicholas J. Broeders will follow at 6:00 PM with Rev. Fr. Brian Gerber of All Saints Church officiating.
