Gladstone, MIPamela Jean “Pam” Malnar, 60, of 9728 N.5 Road, Gladstone, passed away Monday morning November 21, 2016 at home following a lengthy illness with cancer.

Pam was born August 26, 1956 in Escanaba, MI the daughter of Joseph and Helene (Johnson) Thibeault. She was raised in Gladstone where she was a 1974 graduate of Gladstone High School. Pam was united in marriage to John Malnar on September 18, 1976 at the First Lutheran Church in Gladstone. They made their home in Gladstone where they raised their 2 sons.

Pam’s working career, following classes at Bay De Noc College, began at the Bishop Noa Home in Escanaba, Manager of the Ramada Inn in Escanaba, and she worked for over 17 years at the Delta County Courthouse. She retired from Delta County in 2012.

Pam enjoyed baking and spending time in the garden. She loved watching scary movies, collecting frogs and attending auctions. Family was very important to her, and she treasured time spent with her family. She will be sadly missed.

Sons: Jason (Jennifer) Malnar of Fond du Lac, WI and David (Rachael) Malnar of Gladstone

Brother: Jason (Cathy) Thibeault of Escanaba

Sister: Stephanie (Richard) Pepin of Gladstone

Sister-in-law: Barbara Thibeault of Green Bay, WI

Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

In addition to her parents, her brother, Mason Thibeault, and sister-in-law, Christine Thibeault preceded Pam in death.

Pam’s family will receive friends on Saturday November 26, 2016 from 1:00 to 4:00 pm at the Skradski Funeral Home in Gladstone. Funeral services celebrating the life of Pamela Jean Malnar will follow at 4:00 pm with Tom Otis, Pastor of First Lutheran Church officiating. Luncheon will follow at the First Lutheran Church in Gladstone.
